When your friend owns a photography business, a photo shoot is going to happen...
I have no idea what awaits me, but I know that the next chapter of my life will happen amidst the backdrop of Dallas, Texas. I have everything I need...friends that spur me on, a family that loves me, and a God that has a plan for me. Everything else is up to chance.

Go Dallas, or go home
When in Dallas, pull for the Cowboys. Yes, I grew up a Redskins fan because my Dad grew up in DC, but he has given me permission to jump on the Cowboys banwagon while I'm living here. Lucky for me, my friend Kelley works for the Cowboys and gave Sarah and I tickets to go to the game vs the Rams! Kelley gave us awesome seats, awesome parking, and showed us an awesome time. It is true what they say, that stadium is unlike anything else...you have to see it to believe it.

How am I this lucky?
I'm starting to think this is surreal. Life in Dallas couldn't be better, and having some really special visitors has only sweetened my time here. When I saw Sarah Kassouf waiting on the curb at baggage claim at Dallas, Love Field Airport, my heart skipped a few beats!
Imagine this...I took her two-steppin (I know, it's kinda a pattern). Sarah was adored by my Dallas friends--she just fit right in, like she has known all of them for years! Of course, I was on cloud 9.

Can you find the 2 girls from NC? We don't have the long blonde Dallas hair. Oops.
Got scooped right up to try out her two-steppin boots!
Fort Worth...the home of D.R. Horton
Em just couldn't leave Texas without seeing Fort Worth. D.R. Horton is headquartered there, and her dad happened to be there for a meeting. She HAD to go see Billy Bob's, and stand on the stage where Pat Green (her best friend) has played a million times. We even got to see the cattle drive through the stockyards!
Mexican dinner at Joe T. Garcia's. If you're in Fort Worth, go here.
The White Elephant Saloon at the Stockyards...we left our mark!
Emily "holding hands" with Pat Green. There is a wall at Billy Bob's where music artists have left their hand prints...the wall of fame!
Introducing, Emily Nance
Emily Nance + Emily Utz = YES!
In true Emily Nance style, she calls me one day and says "hey, found a cheap flight to Dallas, you gonna be there? Okay, I'm booking it now, see ya in a few weeks!"
I love her spontaneous flair...
I picked up Emily from the airport at 7:05, she got off the plane with her cowboy boots on, and we were on the dancefloor by 7:30! Em got to meet some of my girlfriends from Dallas, and jumped right into the Texas country scene...

Brunch at Company Cafe on the Katy Trail was the perfect start to our Saturday morning. And if you know us at all, you know shopping is ALWAYS going to be included...hello Neimans!
Em and Katie did Young Life together for a hot minute WAY back in the day, and it was SO FUN to see them connect again. It's been years, and Emily finally got to meet Hudson too!
And the winner is....
Today's award goes to Taylor and Katie Humphrey's for being the most dedicated blog readers! Love you guys and miss you more than you will ever know. I'll keep blogging, as long as you keep reading :)

Trip #2 back to NC
Heath and I boarded the 5:15pm flight out of DFW to head to Charlotte for the weekend. Our high school friend, Carrie, was getting married! And, the day after Carrie's wedding, my mom's friends were throwing a bridal shower for Allie. It was perfect-I got to go to both events with one trip to NC!
Carrie, Grayson, Heath, Kristen, and Emily...we were known as the Spice Girls in high school because of our performance in the 1999 Williams High School Talent Show. We're all about 30 years old now, and are still referred to as the Spice Girls. Kristen flew in from Colorado, Heath and I came from Dallas, and Grayson came from Raleigh for us to enjoy a special weekend in Charlotte with Carrie on her big day. We wouldn't have missed it for the world.
Sunday was quite a treat too--got to see my family and go to the shower. The only thing that could have made this day more perfect is if my sister happened to be in town too! Missed you Odd.

I think we already look like sister-in-laws

Some girls that Bradley LOVES! We need Odd in this pic to make it complete!

million dollar question
The most complicated question that anyone could ask me right now is "where do you live?" or "what is your address?"
I'll clarify....
May 21-June 21, I lived with Heath, Scott and Ward
June 21-August 4, I lived in a back house/carriage house
August 4-August 19, I am house sitting for a family while they are on vacation
August 19...not real sure where I'm headed...
Nevertheless, I live out of a suitcase, and I kinda love it. My trunk is still packed from the day I left North Carolina. My Dallas folks are so sweet to keep opening up their houses to me--I'm not worried for one second about where I will go next. It is all part of the adventure....

Rack City
I could hardly stop talking about wedding stuff, but we did have some fun in between wedding dress appointments! We tore up the slide at the pool, danced until we could dance no more, and loved every minute of getting to see each other for the first time since May 19th.
Emily, Lindsey, Liz, and Jordan. We went two steppin at Red River.
Best part: Lindsey got to meet some of my Dallas friends!
Of course we ate at In N Out Burger...she loved it.
